Lots of customers need a laser welding machine to weld a metal tank, usually they want to use this tank to fill water, so we welded a 4mm stainless steel box with 1kw handheld fiber laser welding machine for a test.
We only use 80% power of the 1kw power to weld 4mm stainless steel tank, and we have tested the box filled with water and after 3 hours we went to see the water still not leak.

Usually, when the welding gap is less than 0.5mm, the welding effect will be good enough to prevent the water exit. When the gap is more than 0.5mm, we should use wire feeder to weld.
