1. In terms of work, 2D marking is mainly suitable for flat marking and some deep engraving. 2D can not do curve marking and engraving.

3D marking is suitable for embossing, deep engraving and large format marking, especially for marking or deep engraving with uneven, curved and spherical surfaces.

2. Control system is different. 2D use EzCAD, 3D use 3D control card. ( Feeltek or SINO 3D automatic dynamic focusing head can be choosed. Feeltek use Feeltek 3D control card. SINO use Marking Mate control board )

 

3. 3D fiber laser marking machine the dynamic focusing head include the F-theta lens itself. 2D fiber laser marking machine the Laser scanner and F-theta lens is separated.

We know the max working size of 2D laser marking machine is 300*300mm now. But many people need do large working size. With 3D laser marking machine, usually its working size can reach 600*600mm. As for bigger size, it need customized scanning head.

Although 3D laser marking machine have many special application, its price also is higher now. Most customers can’t accept it. With the help of development and price decreasing, it may become same popular with ordinary laser in the near future.
